1979年7月,壮观秀丽的黄山迎来了一位特别的攀登者——邓小平。这个时候距离具有伟大转折意义的十一届三中全会闭幕刚过去半年多,中国的改革开放已经起步向前。在国务繁忙之际,能有机会攀登黄山奇峰,对他老人家来说,实在难得,也异乎寻常。当时,我正在解放军某部黄山独立营服役。7月10日,营部接到通知:明天邓副主席要来黄山。营部奉命选了八名官兵,给小平同志做警卫。我被选中,感到非常荣幸。
