1977年我县沙尖子、五里甸子公社引入美国“韦恩”大豆品种,共6000斤。1978年在两个公社进行试种,种植面积6200多亩,平均亩产350-400斤,比当地四粒黄品种增产30％。产量最高的五里甸子公社夹皮沟大队二队,80亩韦恩大豆平均亩产490斤。经过两年试种,韦恩大豆粒小、浅黑脐,生育期120-130天,株高130厘米左右,秆硬、抗风力较强。分枝较多,结荚多,最多一株结荚140个,三粒荚多,结荚较均匀。出油
