《伤心咖啡馆之歌》是卡森·麦卡勒斯的代表作。本文从小说的怪诞荒凉的风格入手 ,认为这种风格是小说展现人类在被上帝放逐以后的种种悲苦境遇的需要 ,具体分析了小说是如何表现作为整体象征的小镇中的人们内心的孤独空虚、痛苦悲伤 ,以及为摆脱困境获得救赎而进行的努力和挣扎。分析了小说“象征表现主义”的创作手法以及叙事上的若干策略 ,从而证明“形式”是如何为“内容”和主题服务的。
“Sad Cafe song” is a masterpiece of Carson McCullers. This article starts with the weird and absurd style of the novel and considers the style as the need of showing the tragic circumstances of human beings after being banished from God. It analyzes in detail how the novel represents the lonely emptiness of people in the town as a whole symbol Pain and sorrow, as well as the hard work and struggle to get out of the predicament for salvation. It analyzes the creative techniques of the novel Symbolism and some narrative strategies to prove how “form” serves the “content” and the subject.
