桂平港监所负责着浔江、黔江和桂平航运枢纽船闸运输船舶的安全监督、船舶检验、船员培训等工作;航区内每天船舶通过量达1000多艘次。为避免在处理事故,违章和技术船员考试发证时出现以权谋私的现象,桂平港监所在实施“三严四自”工程中,结合港监工作实际,在全所范围内开展“十检查十对照”活动:一是检查对照有否门难进、脸难看、话难听、事难办的现象;二是检查对照有否权钱交易、敲诈勒索的行为;三是检查对照有否用公款以个人的名义请吃喝的现象;四是检查对照有否以组织的名义去办个人私事的行为;五是检查对照有否办事不讲原则和办事效率低的现象;
