河南7602是适于油菜茬的棉花早熟品种。由河南省农科院经济作物所育成.其父本为辽棉3号选系,母本为乌干达4号。该品种连续四年参加省棉花早熟品种多点试验鉴定,1977～1979年平均亩产皮棉142.3斤,比对照黑山棉增产30.7％,比徐州142增产16.9％;1980年平均亩产166.3斤,比对照黑山棉增产40％,比鲁棉1号减产1.4％,但10月20日前收花量却比鲁棉1号高62％,早熟性显著。河南7602生育期110％120天,株型紧凑,株高中等,茎色紫红,茎秆坚韧不易倒伏,叶片较小,有茸毛,叶色浅,棉铃中等稍长,单铃重5.5克,铃壳较厚,吐絮畅,不易落絮。早熟不早衰。绒长30毫米以上,衣分35～37％。在中等肥力条件下,每亩产量不低于百斤。现已在河南省两熟棉区和盐
