I~2C 总线是由飞利浦公司最先开发出来的,目前已被各彩电生产厂家广泛用于彩电中的功能控制电路和参数调节电路。由于它是一项全新的控制技术,其电路形式及控制方式均与普通彩电的系统控制电路不同。故检修采用 I~2C 总线的彩电故障时,特别是检修I~2C 总线自身故障时不能照搬普通彩电的故障检修方法,而应针对不同的 I~2C 总线故障现象,灵活地选用是从硬件方面进行检修还是从软件方面着手检修,以免事倍功半。大部分数控彩电利用 I~2C 总线可实现自检功能,但不同机心的数控彩电,其自检功能的显示方式不一样。有的采用屏显方式;有的用指示灯的闪烁次数来报告自检结果;有的采用二者结合显示的方式,如:长
