2005年5月30日,重庆红岩汽车有限责任公司在昆明举行的第2届西部汽车论坛上正式发布了红岩新大康金刚重卡。中国汽车工程学会常务副理事长兼秘书长付于武,重庆机电集团总裁、重庆重汽公司董事长黄勇,重庆红岩公司董事长、总经理何勇和云南省的部分经销商、用户代表一起出席了发布会。重庆红岩公司董事长、总经理何勇介绍,近年来,红岩公司按照“人本管理,市场第一”的经营思想,面对重型汽车良好的发展机遇和残酷的竞争现状,投资2.6亿元对车桥厂、车身电泳涂装线进行了技术改造,提升了红岩公司的生产能力和质量保证能力,积极实行“产、学、研”相结合的自主开发模式,跟踪国际最新技术发展动态,不断促进科技创新和科研成果的转化,成功研发出我国第3代重卡——红岩新大康金刚系列产品, 以满足用户的更高需求。
