本文主要探讨乔治·迪基在后期分析美学的框架下对艺术定义问题的独特思考。他反对早期分析美学家莫里斯·韦兹等提出的艺术不可定义论,重新开始界定艺术概念,将艺术看作被授予艺术品地位的手工制品。然而,由于迪基的艺术定义存在某些基本概念不清晰以及脱离具体的艺术实践等问题,一定程度上影响了其理论的说服力,但是他的定义的成果仍然需要我们研究和发展。
This article mainly discusses George Dickey’s unique thinking on the definition of art in the framework of his later analytical aesthetics. He opposed the early analysis of the undefined theory of art proposed by esthetician Maurice Weitz and started to redefine the concept of art and regard art as a handicraft which was granted the status of artwork. However, due to the fact that Dickie’s definition of art has some basic concepts such as unclear concepts and deviations from specific artistic practices, it has affected the persuasion of his theory to a certain extent. However, his definition still requires our research and development.
