Attractive Aba Area Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture is located on the southeastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, often referred to as the “Roof of the World,” in northwest Sichuan Province. This mysterious highland is a major habitat of the giant pandas, regarded as China’s national treasure. Other features of the area are the Jiuzhaigou Ravine and Huanglong National Park, scenery unique to China. In addition, Siguniangshan Mountain and Huanghe Caoyuan, China’s largest wetland grassland, provide a home to many distinct species not found anywhere else in the world, including the giant pandas and dove trees. With a population of 850,000, the prefecture is the second largest residential community for Tibetans in Sichuan Province and the largest inhabitancy for Qiang people in China.
