In order to assess the mortality rate of cancer and other diseases among the miner in the ceramics factory, a total of 12944 cohorts from eight ceramics factories and mines in Jiangxi and Hunan provinces were studied. By the end of 1994, a total of 275,701.8 person-years were involved, with 2290 deaths, The mortality rate (SMR = 1.00) is in line with the national average. The diseases with extremely high death rates are mainly tuberculosis, non-malignant respiratory diseases (including potter’s pneumoconiosis), cardiovascular diseases and liver cancer. The main diseases affecting the life of workers are malignant tumors, cardiovascular diseases, non-malignant respiratory diseases and cerebrovascular diseases. The survey found that the hazards of dust exposure to workers’ health were clear. The deaths of all-cause, full-cancer, non-malignant respiratory diseases, cerebrovascular diseases and lung cancer among dust-exposed workers were significantly higher than those not exposed to dust. The results showed that workers affected by the factory workers Health’s primary occupational hazard is still dust.
