National Symposium on Sugarcane Crossbreeding Work was held on November 21-30, 1979 in Hainan Sugarcane Breeding Farm, Yacheng Island, Hainan Island. A total of 35 representatives from related scientific research institutes, universities and state-owned farms in Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei and Zhejiang provinces attended the symposium.
