Objective To observe the effect of foramen omentum closure in children’s oral clinic. Methods A total of 520 children (520 teeth) who underwent pit and fissure occlusion in our hospital from May 2013 to January 2014 were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into observation group and control group. In the observation group, the fissure-groove enamel formation and occlusion were performed. The incidence of caries and the preservation rate of sealants at 0, 5, 1 and 2 years after operation in both groups were compared. Results After 0.5 years, the preservation rate of the blocking agent in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the incidence of dental caries was lower than that of the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). At 1 and 2 years after operation, The preservation rate was significantly higher than that of the control group. The incidence of dental caries in the observation group at 1 and 2 years after operation was significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The fissure enamel sealing surgery in children’s oral clinical significant effect, effectively improve the long-term preservation rate of sealant and reduce the incidence of dental caries, worthy of clinical application.
