Yan Wenliang is an important founder of China’s modern fine arts education and a famous contemporary oil painter in China. During his education career of more than half a century, he has always disciplined himself, treated others with leniency, taught students with thirst for knowledge in a rigorous academic style of study, and used his lifelong energies to develop the cause of arts education.
