选派“博士服务团”支援西部和老区建设,是中组部和团中央贯彻落实人才强国战略,统筹区域发展,开发大西部地区的一项重要举措。自1999年开展试点以来,先后有六批共91人(次)来四川挂职服务。其中,有8位博士挂职期满后放弃了原工作,继续留在四川服务。第六批赴川博士服务团13名成员以“脱下博士帽、甘当小学生”的精神,满腔热情地为挂职地区的经济社会发展出点子、献力量。一年中,他们共提出76条建议;促成签订协议15个,总投资83.4亿元;举办报告、讲座45场,培训干部群众7250人次;向困难群众捐款33900元、办实事153件。一次四川行,一生四川情。第六批赴川博士用实际行动践行了“奉献青春智慧、促进西部发展”的神圣誓言。
