前言:在刚结束的由本报主办的“2004中国企业可持续发展论坛”上,很多人非常关心用什么管理方式来管理企业里的CIO及其所属的信息技术部门,宝岛眼镜CEO王智民给出了他的答案——让他们从集团公司独立出去,给予他们足够的空间和自由。“企业里的信息技术部门有其非常特殊的方面。总公司的管理比较正规,因为是后勤部门,所以把事情处理完了就可以下班。而信息部门不一样,往往在下班以后开始解决问题。如果用总部的管理模式硬加到信息部门员工身上,就很容易产生冲突。而如果在一个企业里采用两套管理标准,也会产生很多矛盾。于是,最后我们就决定把信息部门独立出去。信息部门采用责任制管理,即只要信息系统出了问题就是你们的问题。不管什么时间什么地点,信息部的人都必须赶到并把问题解决。也许这就是IT人应该享有的管理方式。他们需要自由,企业需要创新。这样的管理方式能较好地满足这两方面。”这是一个企业的高层管理者在管理信息部门时采用的管理方法。当然,这是一个方向性的答案,那么具体到信息技术部门内部,作为部门领导的CIO该怎么来管理自己的团队,使整个团队能成为企业运作的稳定基石呢?
