In 1950, the just-born new China was in full swing and the whole country was immersed in a fiery wave of construction that was experiencing post-war “rebirth.” At that time, 56-year-old Mao Zedong traveled on a special train to visit the Soviet Union. The purpose of his visit is not only for the alliance between China and the Soviet Union, but also for foreign aid in the economic construction of New China. At that time, the number of cars in the country was only 100,000, which was far from sufficient before the huge demand for personnel and supplies. On December 21, Mao Zedong, who just arrived in Moscow, visited the Stalin Automobile Factory. He saw the cars one by one going down the assembly line, shocking the achievements of the Soviet Union. Mao Zedong said solemnly to the accompanying staff: “We have to have such a big factory!” This sentence, opened the new China car era.
