The multi-national curatorial team led by conceptual artist Anthony Montazas launched an exhibition titled “Asian Ceremonies ”, exploring similar cultural pedigree and differentiation between China, Japan and South Korea . Montadas, born in Spain, is a veteran in the field of video and installation art. He has been working and living in New York City since 1971, but this time he has jumped out of his familiar realm to East Asia. Instead, Montadas considers his cultural outsider and his personal curatorial approach to favoring new insights from an impartial (though still undeniably quite Western) perspective.
