Several recent reports have suggested that tumor growth is related to coagulation. Animal experiments show that both primary and metastatic tumors have fibrin deposition, whereas fibrin deposition may be induced by monocyte-derived macrophages. This article studies the difference of blood mononuclear cells thromboplastin activity in patients with malignant and benign tumors. The authors studied 35 cases of benign tumors and 12 cases of malignant tumor surgery before and after coagulation.
