1998年9月,新疆自治区党委和政府作出了关于向吴登云同志学习活动的决定,此后吴登云的先进模范事迹在全新疆上下几乎家喻户晓,人人皆知。1998年10月我参加了中组部、中宣部、卫生部召开的协调会,会上讨论了准备将吴登云先进事迹进一步挖掘整理并推向全国的设想。作为卫生部负责新闻宣传工作的工作人员,职业的敏感性使我立即认识到这是卫生系统的一件大事。
In September 1998, the party committees and governments in Xinjiang Autonomous Region made a decision on learning activities from Comrade Wu Den Yun. Since then, Wu Dengyun’s advanced model deeds have become well-known and widely known across Xinjiang. In October 1998, I participated in the coordination meeting held by the Central Organization Department, the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Health. At the meeting, I discussed the idea of preparing for further excavation and promotion of Wu Dengyun’s advanced deeds. As a staff member responsible for public information in the Ministry of Health, the sensitivity of occupations led me to immediately realize that this is a major event in the health system.
