杜月笙是上海浦东高桥人,原名“月生”,生于1888年,父亲是小米店店主。幼年父母双亡,由外婆收留抚养。少年时代投靠伯父,在外滩十六铺水果店当学徒,削得一手好梨,时称“水果月笙”。此人有两面性:长大成人混迹于黑社会,靠贩卖烟土、开赌场起家,广收门徒,成为上海滩“青帮大亨”
Du Yuesheng is Shanghai Pudong Gaoqiao people, formerly known as “Moon”, born in 1888, his father is the owner of millet shop. Parents died young, raised by the grandmother.
