Somorjai et al. Have reported that at different potentials, the MgO-doped FeO electrode has both n and p photoresponses. Recently, our laboratory reported for the first time that the thermally-doped MgO-Fe 2 O 3 photoelectrode has the n-type and p-type photoacoustic coexistence phenomena under the same potential. It has attracted a great deal of interest due to its potential application in electrocatalysis. In this paper, the optical response of the electrode prepared by high temperature sintering of Fe_2O_3 powder compounded with ZnO has been further studied
