新闻背景:2月2日,国务院审议通过了《农村公路建设规划》。2002年交通部下达了农村公路“通畅工程”建设投资计划66亿元,而2003年更是达622亿元。2004年,123个乡镇和15000多个行政村新修通了公路,2599个乡和12158个行政村通了沥青路或水泥路。截至2004年底,全国共有县乡公路142万公里,通村公路147万公里,其中等外级公路129万公里,占289万公里农村公路总里程的44.6%。
News background: On February 2, the State Council reviewed and approved the “Rural Road Construction Plan.” In 2002, the Ministry of Communications issued an investment plan of 6.6 billion yuan for the construction of rural roads, and in 2003 it reached 62.2 billion yuan. In 2004, 123 townships and more than 15,000 administrative villages newly built highways, and 2,599 villages and 12,158 administrative villages used asphalt or concrete roads. As of the end of 2004, there were a total of 1.43 million kilometers of county-township roads and 1.47 million kilometers of Tongcun highways, including 1.29 million kilometers of external highways, accounting for 44.6% of the total mileage of 2.89 million kilometers of rural roads.
