The border guangers have a crucial influence on the trend of relations between Datang and Tubo and are an important support for the continuous development of the relations between Tang and Tubo. Hexi Jiedushi made Cuixi Yi one of the typical representatives. He was one of the main participants of the relationship between peace and war during the first year of the Tang Dynasty. By analyzing his traditional cultural constraints and related systems under the historical conditions of the Tang, Restraint, we can further understand the role and limitations of the historical subject in social development.
