露天矿边坡是一座高达数百公尺的人工构筑物,如抚顺西露天矿现存边坡高度300米,其最终边坡高达500米。为评价如此高大边坡的稳定性,岩体强度参数占有很重要的影响。目前,不可能用直接试验的方法来求得高大边坡的岩体强度。实验室内岩块试验结果与由结构面控制的节理化边坡岩体强度特征是截然不同的两回事。岩块的破坏方式为脆性破坏,而节理化岩体,根据不连续面的多少、方向与性质,随着作用于岩体的应力变化,岩体中的完整岩块会发生移动、滚动或破碎。原位强度试验虽然比较接近实

In order to evaluate the stability of such a tall slope, the strength parameters of rock mass have a very important influence. At present, it is impossible to obtain the rock mass strength of the tall slope by the direct test method.
