鞍山地区是中国早前寒武纪铁矿主要集中区之一。铁矿床类型为条带状磁铁石英岩型。铁矿储量百亿吨,但主要蕴藏在鞍山周围。统称“鞍山式铁矿”。该区铁矿层位和时代归属一直存在重大分歧。六十年代以来很多地质学者发表过不少论著,提出了各种不同的观点。近两年来我们在张秋生教授的指导下,在研究辽宁北部太古宙地质构造的基础上,对本区各主要铁矿区含铁层位进行了划分对比,尤其对两个早前寒武纪变质岩群鞍山群辽河群接触关系进行了较全面的观察研究。确定了元古宙与太古宙不整合构造界面的存在,进而认为鞍山地区铁矿层位均属鞍山群。鞍山地区主要含铁层位只有一个——茨沟组,原樱桃园组应和茨沟组相当,其铁矿时代隶属早太古宇。
Anshan area is one of the major concentration areas of early Cambrian iron ore in China. Iron ore type is banded magnetite quartz rock type. Iron ore reserves of 10 billion tons, but mainly around the Anshan. Collectively referred to as “Anshan-style iron ore.” There has been major disagreement between the iron ore layers and the era belonged to this area. Since the 1960s many geologists have published many treatises and put forward different opinions. In the past two years, under the guidance of Professor Zhang Qiusheng, on the basis of studying the archeological geological structure in the northern part of Liaoning Province, we compared the iron-bearing strata in all the major iron ore mines in this area, especially the two Early Precambrian metamorphic rocks Group Anshan Liaohe contact relationship between the group conducted a more comprehensive observation and study. The existence of the unconsolidated structural interface between the Proterozoic and the Archean was confirmed, and then the iron ore layers in Anshan are all Anshan group. There is only one major iron-bearing layer in Anshan - the Zigou Formation and the former Yingtaoyuan Formation should be similar to the Zigou Formation, and their iron ore age belonged to the Early Archean.
