利用某些高分子聚合物凝固硬化快的特点,在地质勘探钻孔中进行堵漏和护壁,是解决复杂地层、减少孔内事故、提高钻进效率的有效途径之一。由于尿醛树脂原料来源较广,价格低廉,有一定堵漏效果,目前在国内外都在研究使用。尿醛树脂虽有一定的机械强度,但其性较脆,凝固后粘结岩石的能力不够强,作为一种堵漏物质是可取的,但要发挥其护壁作用,必须通过适当的处理,以提高其冲击韧性,才能收到更好的效果。我们的试验工作就是在上述情况下提出来的。经过几个月的摸索,取得了点滴成果,现分述如下。
