Fe(Ⅲ)离子在过量SCN~-存在下可形成Fe(SCN)_6~(3-)络阴离子。Likussar等利用Fe(SCN)_6~(3-)与结晶紫(CV)形成深色的离子缔合物用氯仿萃取后,用光度法进行测定。水溶性大分子化合物如聚乙烯醇、阿拉伯树胶、聚乙二醇、羧甲基纤维素钠等由于分子结构以及在水溶液中的形态不同于低分子表面活性剂,已被用作光度分析体系的增溶、增敏、增稳剂。本试验发现用上述水溶性大分子化合物作为Fe(SCN)_6~(3-)-CV缔合物的增溶、增稳剂,效果并不相同,这与水溶性大分子化合物本身的结构有关。其中以阿拉伯树胶的增稳、增敏效果最佳。此显色反应有很高的灵敏度,摩尔吸光率
