从某种意义上来说,翻译其实是两种语境的沟通与转换,由此可见,语境在翻译中的重要作用。随着学者对翻译理论的深入研究,文化语境在文学翻译过程中的作用日益得到凸显。当代翻译大师许渊冲说过:“文学翻译家要像画家一样使人如历其境,像音乐家一样使人如闻其声,像演员一样使观众如见其人。”文化语境下的文学翻译不仅是一种语言的嫁接,更是一种文化的移植。本文笔者主要探讨了文化语境在文学翻译中的体现。
In a sense, translation is actually the communication and transformation between the two contexts. From this we can see that context plays an important role in translation. With the in-depth study of translation theory by scholars, the role of cultural context in literary translation is increasingly highlighted. Xu Yuanchong, a contemporary translator, said: “Literary translators want people to be as vivid as painters, sound like musicians, and make audiences like actors.” Literary translation is not only a kind of language grafting, but also a kind of cultural transplanting. The author of this article mainly discusses the embodiment of cultural context in literary translation.
