杜善义院士是我国著名的力学和复合材料专家。1938年,他出生于辽宁省大连市。1980~1982年,作为我国第一批公派出国的访问学者,杜善义被派往美国乔治·华盛顿大学学习力学和材料科学。他曾担任哈尔滨工业大学航天学院院长、副校长等职务,1999年当选中国工程院院士,现任中国航天科技集团高级技术顾问、哈尔滨工业大学教授和中国复合材料学会名誉理事长等职务。岁末年初之际,杜院士在百忙之中接受了《中国航天》杂志的专访。 Academician Du Shanyi is a famous mechanics and composite material expert in our country. In 1938, he was born in Dalian, Liaoning Province. From 1980 to 1982, as the first visiting scholar in our country to go abroad to work abroad, Du Shanyi was sent to study mechanics and materials science at the George Washington University in the United States. He was the Dean and Vice-Chancellor of the Aerospace Academy of Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1999, he was elected as an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is currently a senior technical advisor of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology and honorary chairman of the Chinese Society for Composites. As the year-end and New Year’s Eve, Academician Du accepted the interview with “China Aerospace” during his busy schedule.
