Department of Science and Technology Ministry of Metallurgical December 12, 1991 to December 14 in Shaoxing presided over the convening of blast furnace work conference. The meeting exchanged experiences and discussed future tasks. The meeting stressed the importance of blast furnace work to achieve “high yield, high quality, low consumption and long life” of the blast furnace. It is suggested that leaders at all levels should pay sufficient attention to the work in front of the blast furnace and take active measures to change the backwardness. Specific suggestions are as follows: The capacity and the size of the top pressure using a different block shots, large blast furnace should be used with corundum,
