去年是华揽洪先生诞辰100周年。去年12月12日,华揽洪先生(1912年9月16日生于北京)在巴黎逝世。从1951年华先生举家回到北京参加祖国建设到1977年退休后回巴黎,前前后后在北京生活工作42年,他一生最好的年华都贡献给他的祖国和故乡北京。但是,如今中国人,特别是成千上万受益于他作品的北京人,也很少有几位知道华老的名字。华揽洪先生大名,我是从20世纪50年代他规划设计北京儿童医院和北京幸福村街坊开始知道的。1973年,他还创造性地设计了北京第一座为自行车使用者着想的,也是全球第一个让汽车和自行车分道顺畅行驶的三层立交桥——建国门立交桥,今年是此桥问世40周年(见图)。
Last year was the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Hua Lanhong. On December 12 last year, Mr. Hua Lanhong (born on September 16, 1912 in Beijing) passed away in Paris. From 1951, when Hua returned to Beijing to participate in the construction of the motherland and returned to Paris after retiring in 1977, he lived and worked in Beijing for 42 years. The best of his life was contributed to his homeland and his hometown of Beijing. However, few Chinese, especially millions of Beijingers who have benefited from his work, are now known by the Chinese. Mr. Hu Lanhong name, I was from the 20th century, he planned to design Beijing Children’s Hospital and Beijing Happy Village neighborhood began to know.
