1986年我国内地对美纺织品服装出口在数量上超过香港地区和当时的韩国,居美国进口的第二位,但金额仅为18.54亿美元,占美国进口总额的5.4%。1994年无论是数量还是金额,中国都成为美国纺织品的最大供应国。近年,北美自由贸易区内的交易量猛增,中国已失去美国市场第一把交椅的位置。现在我国已成功加入世贸组织,因此,研究美国纺织品市场的特点,并得出相应的对美纺织品贸易策略,对于提升内地纺织服装业的国际竞争力,利用WTO贸易规则,扩大对美出口,是很有必要的。
In 1986, the mainland’s exports to the United States for textiles and garments exceeded the number of Hong Kong and then South Korea’s imports in the United States, ranking the second place in the United States, but the amount was only 1.854 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 5.4% of the total U.S. imports. In 1994, both the quantity and the amount of China have become the largest suppliers of the United States textiles. In recent years, the volume of transactions in the North American Free Trade Area soared. China has lost its first position in the U.S. market. Now China has successfully acceded to the WTO. Therefore, the study of the characteristics of the U.S. textile market and the corresponding strategies for the trade in textiles to the United States have led to the enhancement of the international competitiveness of the textile and garment industry in the Mainland, the use of the WTO trade rules and the expansion of exports to the United States Very necessary.
