北京师范大学赵光贤教授继他的《周代社会辨析》之后,近年又推出他的论文选集《古史考辨》(北京师范大学出版社,1987年)。赵教授于三十年代在辅仁大学史学研究所受业于当代史学大师陈垣先生,师宗顾炎武、钱大昕、崔述、王国维等人,以学风谨严,考辨精深著称于史学界,《古史考辨》所收论文二十五篇是他应出版社之请,亲自从他自四十年代到八十年代初所作众多论文中选出,上起氏族社会下讫清初,可以说是他所作历史考辨文章的代表作。作为一名严肃的史学家,作者首先最重视史料的真伪与年代的鉴别,把它看作历史研究的出发
