中远在南非的事业起步较晚,市场份额较小。中远非洲公司的前身是在中远驻南非航运代表处的基础上,于1995年3月在约翰内斯堡注册成立的,是中远八大海外地区公司之一,管辖除北非和东非之外非洲地区的中远业务,目前管辖所属地区6家企业,员工人数49人,其中中方外派员工12人。几年来,公司在努力做好航运主业的基础上,积极开拓其他业务,使整个地区的管理水平、业务范围和经营规模均有不同程度的提高和扩大。地区所属单位从初期的2家代表处和1家合营公司,发展
COSCO started its business in South Africa relatively late with a small market share. COSCO Africa, formerly known as COSCO's shipping representative office in South Africa, was incorporated in Johannesburg in March 1995. It is one of COSCO's eight overseas regional companies that governs COSCO's business in Africa except North Africa and East Africa. At present, there are 6 enterprises under its jurisdiction and the number of employees is 49, of which 12 are Chinese expatriates. In the past few years, on the basis of striving to be the main shipping business, the Company actively explored other businesses so that the management level, business scope and scale of operation in the entire region all increased and expanded in varying degrees.
