日本的能源几乎90%必须依靠海外各个国家供给,而铝熔炼工业使用的石油约占其总能源消耗量的70%。从1973年第一次石油危机以来,日本铝熔炼工业已把“能量节约”和“资源储备”置于行动计划中的优先位置。通过过去7年来所作的极大努力,已经在降低能源消耗方面取得了显著的效果。然而,能源价格的不断上涨仍继续影响着原铝的生产成本。另一方面,薄板轧制和挤压工业以及铸造业也都在致力于改善装备和产品质量,并设法在生产过程中节省能源。随着满足节能要求的新产品的开发,上述工业的市场不断地扩大。现将日本铝工业的最近发展方向及其新产品的开发说明如下:
Almost 90% of Japan’s energy must rely on overseas supply, while the aluminum smelting industry uses about 70% of its total energy consumption. Since the first oil crisis in 1973, the Japanese aluminum smelting industry has placed “energy conservation” and “resource reserve” at the top of its action plan. The great efforts made over the past seven years have yielded remarkable results in reducing energy consumption. However, rising energy prices continue to affect the production costs of primary aluminum. On the other hand, the sheet and extrusion industry as well as the foundry industry are also working to improve the quality of equipment and products and try to save energy in the production process. With the development of new products that meet the energy-saving requirements, the markets for these industries are constantly expanding. Now the recent development of Japan’s aluminum industry and the development of new products as follows:
