公路交通是市场经济的载体,是商品生产、流通、分配、消费各环节正常运转的先决条件。快速发展湖北经济,推动全省社会进步,积极改善人民生活,都要依赖于发达的公路交通事业。改革开放以来,我省公路交通事业有了长足发展,现已具备了一定的基础,但与全省社会经济的发展要求相比,公路网络的现代化水平仍显滞后。当前和今后一个时期,我省必须重点加快路网结构调整,大力提升全省公路网络的承载功能。
Road traffic is the carrier of the market economy and the prerequisite for the normal operation of the production, distribution, distribution and consumption of commodities. To rapidly develop Hubei’s economy, promote social progress throughout the province, and actively improve people’s livelihood must depend on the well-developed road transport industry. Since the reform and opening up, the highway traffic in our province has witnessed tremendous growth and now has a certain foundation. However, compared with the requirements of the province’s social and economic development, the modernization of the highway network is still lagging behind. At present and for a period in the future, our province must focus on speeding up the structural adjustment of the road network and greatly enhance the carrying capacity of the provincial highway network.
