学术期刊中所发表的文章引用古典文献中的某些内容是很普遍的现象(史籍引文几乎出现在各种出版物上,本文主要针对学术期刊而言.),一般将引用的内容称为引文.引文少则几字,多则数句乃至成段.引用的目的主要是藉以立论,或说明某些问题.引文必须准确无误,如果引文有误,即使文章论证恢宏雄健,其学术价值也将大打折扣.如果这类文章得以刊发,将给学术刊物的声誉带来不良影响.因此,编辑在工作中有必要对史籍引文进行复核.编辑复核引文的必要性,可从以下两方面来看:一、复核引文是保证期刊学术质量的需要一份期刊的学术质量的高低是由多方面的因素来决定的,引文质量的高低是其中的一个因素.如果一份期刊中的史籍引文屡屡出现差错,即使它在其他方面有突出表现,我们也很难说这是一份高水平的期刊.按常理推想,人们会认为引文都是录自古代典籍,原文照录,不会有什么差错.但在实际工作中事情并非人们想象得那样简单.在我们收到的稿件中,引文不准确、张冠李戴的情况屡见不鲜.甚至那些颇有名气的专家学者也不免出这样或那样的纰漏.造成这种状况的原因,大致有如下三点:1.转引别人文章中的引文,自己并未复核原文,因此将错就错,以讹传讹.2.摘录时粗心大意,将个别字句或标点录错.3.对史料不作细致甄别,草率引用.一篇学术
