党中央历来十分重视公安机关的廉政建设。党的十五大以来,尤其是进入1997年以后,江总书记多次就公安政法机关加强反腐败斗争问题,做了一系列重要指示。中央政法委和公安部相继召开专门会议进行了统一部署。如何迅速行动起来,认真贯彻党中央和上级公安机关的指示精神,深入持久地开展反腐败斗争,把公安机关建设成廉洁、正义、威武之师,切实肩负起党和人民赋予反腐败斗争的历史使命,这是当前乃至今后一个时期公安机关
