我国实行对外开放政策以来,国际上通行的租赁业务在国内逐步开展。自1980年起,北京、上海、江苏等地先后成立了10多个租赁公司,一些金融机构和对外经济贸易公司也开始经营租赁业务。这些租赁公司有中外合资经营的,也有国内联营的,其业务范围有专为某些行业服务的专业性租赁公司,也有综合性租赁公司,但都是以开展租赁机器、设备为主的融资租赁业务。实践表明,开展融资租赁业务,对帮助中、小企业采用先进技术,促进设备更新起了有益的作用。
