原位监测技术是滑坡稳定性监控与防治中的有效技术手段。介绍了原位监测技术在三峡永久船闸高边坡、链子崖危岩体、黄腊石滑坡、万州古滑坡体等的应用，对原位监测成果、监测方法以及在滑坡治理中的作用进行了总结，并对GPS在滑坡监测中应用进行了探讨，指出全自动化实时监测是滑坡监测的发展方向。
