党的性质是党的本质和生命。在新的历史条件下,中国共产党是中国工人阶级先锋队,同时也是中国人民和中华民族的先锋队,是中国先进生产力的发展要求、中国先进文化的前进方向和中国最广大人民的根本利益的忠实代表,是建设有中国特色社会主义事业的领导核心。全面理解党的性质必须正确把握三方面的问题:一是党的性质是阶级性和群众性的统一,二是党的性质集中体现在“三个代表”和党的路线纲领上,三是党的性质具体体现在党对建设有中国特色社会主义事业的领导核心地位和作用上。
