张超是上海西郊宾馆的糖艺师。从上海市旅游服务职业技术学校毕业后,他被分配在厨房制作冷莱,后自学考试获得了上海旅游高等专科学校餐饮管理的大专文凭。2002年一个偶然的机会,令他和糖艺结缘。“不知哪来的几张宣传页,让我着了迷。”张超回忆说。虽然已记不得宣传页的来历,他却对那些糖艺作品宣传照记忆犹新。张超发现糖也能制作出那么精美的工艺品,马上去网上查找糖艺方面的书籍。从此,他步入了糖艺大门。从入门级到“骨灰”级糖艺师,张超付出了许多,糖艺要在七八十摄氏度的暖灯下制作,一天工作下来,手指经常被烫出泡。没有付出就没有成就,如今许多顾客对张超的糖艺作品爱不释手,用餐完毕后将其带回家收藏,就连奥巴马也曾在用餐后嘱咐助手将他的作品带回美国。
Zhang Chao is a sugar artist in Shanghai’s western suburbs. After graduating from Shanghai Tourism Service Vocational and Technical School, he was assigned to be a cooker in the kitchen. Zhang Chao found that sugar can also be produced so beautiful crafts, immediately go online to find books on the art of sugar. Since then, he entered the sugar door. From introductory level to “ashes” grade sugar artist, Zhang Chao paid a lot, sugar art to be made in warm light of seventy-eighty degrees Celsius, one day work, fingers are often hot bubble. Without paying, there are no achievements. Nowadays, many customers put forward their love for Zhang Chao’s sugar-art works. After dining, they bring them back home for collection. Even Obama once asked his assistants to bring his works back to the United States after the meal.
