合金白口铁磨球在球磨机中已得到了应用,但破碎是影响应用与推广的一种严重失效形式.对于这种失效形式的分析,目前一般还只是限于进行一些定性的分析.对此根据球磨机运行工况计算出磨球所受的最大冲击功,设计制造了一台能模拟磨球在磨仓中受冲击工况的磨球冲击试验机,对磨球使用前后的残余奥氏体和锤击前后的残余奥氏作变化进行了检验,并应用应力测试仪测定了冲击前后的应力变化.结果表明:磨球的残余奥氏体量小于7%时不会引起磨球的破碎,而破碎是表面附近的裂纹源(缩孔、缩松、裂纹等)在冲击力作用下扩展而成.
