我工区担负着全矿大部分矿石、废石和井下用料的运输任务,活地多,战线长,任务重。以前由于手工操作,劳动强度大,效率低。无产阶级文化大革命以来,工区职工在《鞍钢宪法》的指引下,大搞技术革新,逐步攻下了装、运、卸过程中的关键问题,初步实现了装车电气化,运矿满车化,卸车、清斗机械化,大大减轻了工人的劳动强度,挖掘了生产潜力,使运输能力提高60%左右,并节约了劳动力,为井下生产的不断发展创造了有利条件。
