由上海市对外文化交流协会主办的“太平洋地区经济发展与中国”国际学术讨论会,于1987年8月12日至14日在上海举行。这次讨论会是中国太平洋经济合作全国委员会成立以来第一次有关太平洋经济发展与合作的国际学术会议。讨论会得到了外交部、中国太平洋经济合作全国委员会、中国改革与开放基金会的赞助与支持。出席讨论会的代表来自联合国以及澳大利亚、加拿大、香港、日本、新加坡、泰国、英国、美国和中国。讨论会共收到论文40篇,其中中国代表论文24篇,其它国家、地区和国际组织代表论文16篇。论文从太平洋地区经济发展的态势与环境、太平洋地区经济力量之间的相互关系和改革开放中的中国在太平洋地区经济发展中的作用三个方面,着重就太平洋地区经济发展的国际分工形式与产业转移,太平洋经济合作组织形式与分工、合作、发展前景,美日竞争及其对太平洋地区经济的影响,中国与太平洋经济合作的关系,发展中国家与太平洋经济合作中的地位与作用以及太平洋地区国际资本流动和金融问题等六个专题,各抒己见,展开探讨。这次讨论会与众不同的特点是,在老一辈专家学者的指导下,一大批中青年学者走上了国际学术交流讲坛,为促进世界经济研究与中国经济研究的结合,作出了有益的、成功的探索。这里我们选择发表9篇中外学者论文,以饷读者。
The “International Symposium on Pacific Economic Development and China,” sponsored by the Shanghai Association for Cultural Exchanges and Exchanges, was held in Shanghai from August 12 to 14, 1987. This seminar is the first international academic conference on the development and cooperation of the Pacific economy since the establishment of the China Pacific Commission for Economic Co-operation. The seminar was sponsored and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China Pacific Economic Cooperation National Committee, and the China Reform and Open-up Fund. Delegates attending the seminar came from the United Nations and from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and China. The symposium received a total of 40 papers, including 24 Chinese representative papers and 16 representative papers from other countries, regions and international organizations. The dissertation focuses on the international division of labor and industry in economic development in the Pacific from three aspects: the situation and environment of economic development in the Pacific Ocean, the mutual relations among the economic forces in the Pacific Ocean and the role of China in the economic development in the Pacific during the reform and opening up. Transfer, form and division of labor, cooperation and development prospects of the Pacific Ocean Economic Cooperation (APEC), prospects for the U.S.-Japan competition and its impact on the Pacific economy, the relationship between China and the Pacific Economic Cooperation, the status and role of developing and Pacific economic cooperation and the Pacific region International capital flow and financial issues six topics, express their views, to explore. The distinctive feature of this seminar is that under the guidance of the older generation of experts and scholars, a large number of young and middle-aged scholars have embarked on the forum of international academic exchanges.
