《经济学人》去年9月雷曼兄弟破产后的数周内,流通中的欧元钞票数量骤增。摇摇欲坠的银行体系令人担忧,人们不敢再将钱存入银行。大家认为将钱藏在家里更安全。据说,更挑剔的囤积者会小心翼翼地把序列号前缀为X的钞票(即在德国发行的货币)藏起来。
Within a few weeks after The Economist went bankrupt in September last year, the circulation of euro bills soared. The crumbling banking system is worrisome, and people dare not deposit money in banks anymore. Everyone thinks it’s safer to keep money at home. It is said that the more demanding hoarders will carefully hide the banknotes with the serial number prefix X (the currency issued in Germany).
