The word “recovery” is increasingly used to refer to the building environment and infrastructure’s ability to withstand or recover from prolonged or sudden natural disasters. Recognize potential disasters, monitor and maintain infrastructure, and plan to respond to disasters that aim to avoid or reduce the impact of disasters on all peoples.
