朱屺瞻,一手抓油画,一手抓国画,中西两种传统的艺术形式极为自然地融合在一起。粗看他的画,没有突出的特点,并不像其他画家有自己鲜明的绘画风格。但细看起来,就会发现,朱屺瞻的画,童趣十足,这并单不指他的画面表现,而是那种将绘画当成游戏和人生乐事的心境。生于双子星座的朱屺瞻,虽体弱多病,却活了105岁,堪称“人瑞”;虽掌握家族产业,却不懂经营;虽经历多重磨难,却将乐观进行到底;作画多静物,生活中却极爱远行,年少曾一时冲动,怀揣200银元前往日本,后又以92岁高龄飞往美国……矛盾,对于朱屺瞻,似乎是专用来统一的。
