Follow-up “6.55” 60Co source radiation accident caused ARS5 cases of 5.5 years of endocrine gland function changes. The method mainly used the radioimmunoassay to determine the hormone level. Results Serum testosterone was significantly decreased in acute phase, blood TT3 decreased, blood cortisol may be decreased due to inhibition by dexamethasone, pituitary hormones (such as ACTH, etc.) also decreased due to irradiation, and blood estradiol, PRL, LH, FSH Once significantly increased. Gradually recovered to varying degrees in the later period, and gradually stabilized or tended to decrease. The renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system is active, mostly at high levels. Conclusions The function of each endocrine gland changes greatly after irradiation, but by 5.5 years, except for the low testosterone and the active response of RAA system, many have returned to normal
