The 4th Jin Dialect International Symposium was held in Shanxi University from July 11 to 12, 2015. The conference was sponsored by the Institute of Linguistic Sciences of Shanxi University. The theme of the conference was to commemorate the 80th birthday of Mr. Hou Jingyi, the pioneer of the study of Li Jin, who celebrated the 30th anniversary of the founding of the “Dialect” and the celebration of Jin language. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Lan, vice president of the Chinese Association of Chinese Dialects and a researcher at the Institute of Language of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Professor Gao Ce, Vice-Chancellor of Shanxi University, delivered a welcoming address. Secretary-General of the Chinese Association of Chinese Dialects, Director of the Dialect Research Office of the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
